Date: 26 May - 2 June

Day 1

On this day, reach Delhi by 5 pm. After meeting our trip companions, we will board an overnight bus for Bir by late evening.

Day 2

By early morning, we will reach the Tea Capital of North India. After hotel check-in, we will start our morning with cycling on roads through tea estates. After a refreshing cycling session, it’s time to explore Bir. Bir is a home to a Tibetan colony, there are many monasteries and institutes. Kangra valley tea is one of the finest teas from India. Overnight in Bir.

Day 3

After a lazy start of the day, we will start our scenic drive to Barot valley. Barot is straight out of a fairytale! Famous for its trout farming, one can catch his/her own fish too. Few activities like fishing, river crossing, etc. are planned for the day.

Stay in a luxury tent.

Day 4

Today, we will proceed to the village of Badagram from Barot by cab. Badagram is the base village of our trek. The trail, starting from a village, will pass through deodar, pine forests, finally reaching another village of Rajgundha. It’s a very easy yet uphill trek of 4 km. Evenings will be spent by the bonfire with millions of stars to company. Stay in a camp.

Day 5

Today’s trek is a long one. Starting from Rajgundha, we will pass through thick forests of Deodar, finally reaching the famous paragliding site of Billing. Night stay in a camp.

Day 6

After 2 days of trek, today is a downhill day. For all you adventure junkies, from Billing, if the weather permits then you can choose to do paragliding. We will start our downhill trek from Billing for Bir. We will reach by mid-afternoon. Bir has some of the most amazing cafes at such peaceful locations. Evening is free to spend leisurely in one of the quaint little cafes in Bir watching sunset. Bir is surely one of those places which has most beautiful, calming sunsets one can experience. Stay in a hotel.

Day 7

We will start the day with some strolling through mustard, wheat fields, tea gardens, experiencing the typical village life at the foothills of Himalayas. We will go to a secret waterfall which only very few locals know about! Those who wish to do paragliding can choose to do it today if missed out earlier. After lunch, rest of the day is free to shop for souvenirs, to visit cafes, to spend your way.

 

With a bagful of sweet memories, bidding adieu to the hamlet of Kangra, we will board an overnight bus to Delhi.

Day 8

We will reach Delhi by early morning. Schedule your flight/ train journey after 11 pm.

Notes:

  • Cost of meals between the mentioned dates is included except on Day 1 and Day 7 dinners.

  • Trip does not include any cost arisen due to any unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster like landslides, roadblocks, etc

  • Permits, if needed, are inclusive.

  • Please carry all personal medication (if any).

  • We will stay in hotels and in tents, the rooms and tents allotted will be on twin sharing basis.

  • Cost includes everything mentioned above with Delhi to Bir and Bir to Delhi volvo bus tickets.
